SKN House

SKN house is a contemporary take on a classical facade in natural stone, namely Jaisalmer Limestone and Beige Sandstone, which was commissioned to Odyssey in 2020. The house, located in Gurugram, India, is designed by architect Adiljiit Singh, based in Chandigarh, India.

The client wished for a traditional design combining both Indian and Roman architecture and the architect conceptualised an interesting mix of both. The plinth of the house is carved in yellow Jaisalmer sandstone which matches the window frames. The slabs of the bungalow are designed in simple geometric entablature and the terrace has a dome-shaped sculpture. The elevation is elegant, beautiful, and timeless. The columns are designed in a doric fashion keeping a simple style and look for the building. The windows have a rectangular lintel and wood-finished mullions. The railings and parapet walls embrace the classical style of architecture for the bungalow.
