The first Dusit, Thailand property in India is being developed by Bird Hospitality. The four, nine meter high and two meter diameter pillars are located at the centre of the property flanked by water on all sides.
The brief is to reproduce the Sculptural Columns at Elephanta Caves, a network of sculpted caves located on Elephanta Islands in Mumbai Harbour, using Agra Red Sandstone.

Each pillar weighs about 40 tonnes and is a composition of 80 segments cladded on an MS structure. All the segments are CNC milled and precise to the millimeter to avoid any hand carving work at the height of 9 meters.
